The Southern Association Insurance School in cooperation with Edison State College is offering the following pre-license insurance courses for agents, customer service representatives, and adjusters:

General Lines Agent (2-20)

This is a 200 hour Florida certification course to prepare the student to pass the state exam for the General Lines Agent license (2-20). This license will allow the agent to sell both personal and commercial lines insurance products such as auto, home, commercial property, and commercial liability insurance. Classes are held three days per week (Mon-Wed-Fri). Both afternoon and evening classes are available, as well as a fast-track option that will help you finish the course more quickly.

Start times:

Afternoon - 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Evening - 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Fast-track - 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Course tuition is $825 (state manual is an additional $42.40, if needed)

Personal Lines Agent (20-44)

This is a 52 hour Florida certification course to prepare the student to pass the state exam for the Personal Lines Agent license (20-44). This license will allow the agent to sell personal lines insurance products such as auto, home, and boat insurance. Classes are held three days per week (Mon-Wed-Fri). Both afternoon and evening classes are available.

Start times:

Afternoon - 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Evening - 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Course tuition is $525 (state manual is an additional $42.40, if needed)

General Lines Customer Representative (4-40)

This is a 100 hour Florida certification course to prepare the student to pass the state exam for the Customer Service Representative license (4-40). This license will allow the holder to assist a general lines agent in the writing of insurance business. Classes are held three days per week (Mon-Wed-Fri). Both afternoon and evening classes are available, as well as a fast-track option that will help you finish the course more quickly.

Afternoon - 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Evening - 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Fast-track - 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Course tuition is $625 (state manual is an additional $42.40, if needed)

General Lines Customer Representative (CISR)

Get your 4-40 License without taking the Florida state license exam.

Attend five, eight hour course offerings earn the CISR designation and get your Customer Representative License (4-40) without taking the state license exam.

(NO STATE EXAM!)

The Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR) program is a nationally recognized professional designation program designed for insurance agency personnel.

Course tuition is $150 per each of the five section ($750)

Insurance Adjuster (3-20, 5-20, 6-20)

This is a 100 hour course to prepare the student to pass the license exams for adjusters - Company Adjuster (6-20), Public Adjuster (3-20), and Independent All-Lines Adjuster (5-20). Classes are held three days per week (Mon-Wed-Fri). Both afternoon and evening classes are available, as well as a fast-track option that will help you finish the course more quickly.

Fast-track - 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Crash Course (for all P&C licenses)

This course will prepare student to take the state license exam.The course is designed for the student that has already qualified to take the license exam through classroom attendance or on-the-job experience. The course is offered from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Life, Health & Variable Annuities Agent (2-15)

This is a 40 hour Florida certification course to prepare the student to pass the state exam for the Life; Health & Variable Annuities. This license will allow the agent to sell Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Fixed Annuities and Variable Annuities. Classes are held two days per week ( Saturday & Sunday).

Start times: Times will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
